Ed's work experience at industrial work started immediately after graduating from high school. Ed spent his early years working in the Veneer and Plywood plant at Tolko Industries Heffley Creek, BC. At the same time, Ed worked at the fabrication and installation of residential ornamental iron work from his home based business before returning to attend UCC to take the CADD program.

Ed's past responsibilities have included sales, corporate liaison with clients, collection of field information, conceptual design, detail design and detail drafting, checking of drawings for concept, fabrication and construction issues, preparation of tender documents, capital project budget proposals, and engineering estimates and proposals.

He is involved with project supervision, project co-ordination, project management and on-site supervision and start-up assistance. Because of Ed's fabrication and trades background and abilities, he has been hired by installation contractors to supervise crews.

Ed is also an accomplished musician; he sings and plays drums in a rock band.
