Engineering and detailed design for merchandiser, merchandiser infeed, and debarker outfeed.

Core Engineering performed the structural and mechanical engineering services along with the shop detailing for the debarker outfeed and merchandiser infeed at Boise Cascade’s facility in Elgin, Oregon.  This equipment was fit up to their in-place merchandiser that was engineered and detailed by Core Engineering and fabricated by Versatile Fab and Machine in Kelowna, B.C.  Walkways, platforms, guardrails and other safeguarding were all engineered and detailed by Core Engineering.

The merchandiser system is a proprietary system designed and detailed by Core Engineering and fabricated by Versatile Fab & Machine. These systems are modified to meet each clients needs on an individual basis, designed for any size of logs and the required number of saws.  Core’s current merchandiser systems in operation range from 3 saws to 6 saws ranging in size from 60 inches up to 84 inches.
